Let’s talk about Branding: because first impressions are everything

Imagine for a moment that you’re going to a party. But you have no idea what kind of party it is. You don’t know if it’s formal, a casual dinner, or a rave that lasts until dawn. So, you show up without thinking too much about it: an old t-shirt, flip-flops, and white socks. When you arrive, everyone is wearing elegant outfits, holding wine glasses, and engaged in classy conversations. How do you feel? It’s like being caught offside, right?
Well, that’s exactly what happens to a brand that doesn’t take care of its corporate image. You can have the best product in the world, but if you don’t present it well, you might go unnoticed… or worse, give off the wrong impression.
 
Your brand image is how you dress your brand for the world. It’s not just about having a nice logo or choosing colors that look good together. It’s the essence of what you want to convey, the feeling you leave in people when they see you for the first time.
 
But is it really that important?

Think of the brands you remember the most—Coca-Cola, Apple, Nike… They don’t just sell products; they sell an identity. When you open an Apple box, it feels like you’re unboxing something almost sacred.

Now imagine those same products being sold in cheap packaging, with a generic logo and no visual consistency. Would they make the same impact? Probably not. First impressions matter. And in branding, they’re practically everything.

 
 
How do you “dress” a brand properly?
  • With a strong logo: It’s your brand’s face, your signature. It should be memorable and represent your essence.

  • With consistent colors and typography: It’s not just about aesthetics—colors convey emotions and messages. A deep blue doesn’t communicate the same thing as a bright yellow.

  • With coherence across all platforms: You can’t have a fresh, modern Instagram while your website looks like it’s from 15 years ago. Everything needs to be in sync.
